What is Baladi Meat?

Baladi meat comes from locally raised cattle in Egypt. It has a stronger, richer flavor than imported meat because the animals are naturally fed and free-range.

Essential Meat Cuts

1. Fillet (Tenderloin)

The most tender and most expensive cut. A whole 300kg bull only yields 4-5kg of fillet — two strips, left and right. That's what makes it the rarest cut.

Real baladi fillet is deep red, butter-soft, with almost no sinew or fat. Grilled over charcoal over natural charcoal — meat this good needs nothing else.
